On Thursday, March 18, 2010 Axelle Fine Arts will showcase the urban landscapes of Patrick Pietropoli which features the shifting perspectives of Paris, New York, Venice, and Florence. Pietropoli's canvases are extremely detailed, large-scale works that characterize the city as an entity. Each painting utilizes color to convey tone, meaning and mood where Pietropoli's devotion to detail and lighting make his seemingly-still images come alive. The gallery will also feature a small collection of the artist's evocative figure paintings. Pietropoli recently moved from Paris to Brooklyn and will be attending the opening reception. The show will be on display from on March 18, 2010 through April 17, 2010 at Axelle Fine Arts, 535 West 25th Street, NY, NY. The reception is from 6pm to 9pm and is by RSVP only. The Friends of the Fighting 69th in association with AMERICAN AIRLINES proudly present MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT in NEW YORK CITY to benefit the SSG Christian P. Engeldrum Memorial Scholarship Fund with a performance by GARY SINISE & the LT DAN BAND on Thursday, March 18th at the historic 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue at 26th Street. Doors Open 5:30PM Show Time 7:30PM with a special tribute screening of The House of Drum, a documentary honoring SSG Christian P. EPIC School is a non-profit school that teaches children with autism to lead happy, productive lives. This year, on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 they celebrate the 13th anniversary of their school with their major fundraiser Pegasus: A Night at the Races which takes place at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey.
